This week we will focus on influential groups such as the scientists/mathematicians who inspired Hidden Figures, The Tuskeegee Airmen, the Buffalo Soldiers, and the Greensboro four. We will watch a short video, read books about their accomplishments, and do a short corresponding activity.

Artists & Athletes
This week we will focus on artists & athletes such as players in the Negro Baseball League, Poet Maya Angelou and Prima Ballerina Misty Copeland. We will watch a short video about their lives, read books about their accomplishments and do a short kid friendly corresponding activity

This week we will focus on inventors. Focusing on inventions that young children are familiar with, we will read books about the inventors and their inventions and even recreate a few of their inventions ourselves.
